12/24/11

Fifteen hours is a long time to be on a plane. After five movies, and two documentaries, the television gets old. We flew at an average of 37,000 feet at around 525 miles per hour. The plane took us close to the North Pole and over Russia. Looking out the window, we saw glaciers and cracks in the ice as far as the eye could see.
The coolest part about the flight was that we flew into the daylight. So we only had three hours of actual night time. the plane itself was dark. We had to shut all the windows and the lightts were shut off.
After the flight to Souel, South Korea, we sat in the airport for one hour before our next hour to Phnom Phen, Cambodia. Our flight lasted 5 hours. After we landed in Phnom Phen, my family and I went to go get our visas. Finally, at 11:45 pm, we got to our hotel on the river side. the area is beautiful, but the driver are crazy. their motorcycles weaved inbetween traffic. It's pretty amazing in Cambodia

  1. Peter, we are so exited to hear that you are finally home where it all began for you. It is very important to know where you came from and more about your culture. This is something you will be able to show your children some day. Seeing your experiences makes me rethink that I should take a trip to Italy with my family and do the same. Enjoy every moment of this. It will last a lifetime.
